Connections: Being and Becoming a Scientist

This hurricane season (2014), five tropical cyclone experts take a moment to share the importance of mentoring in both becoming a scientist and in their professional lives today. Many of their own professional stories are entwined with atmospheric icons – Edward Lorenz, Fred Singer, Jule Charney, Robert and Joanne Simpson, and to each other through mentoring tomorrow's scientists today.
